Located in Downtown Mason, The Wildflower Cafe & Coffee House is small, family owned restaurant.  The Wildflower is a 103 year old house that has been recently renovated into a quaint little Cafe.  We have 2 dining rooms downstairs, and a upstairs bar/dining area, for your enjoyment and relaxation.  Our Cafe is a unique place to be, we welcome everyone and treat you like family.  The owner is also the chef, his wife serves the food & wine, and his close friends do a little bit of everything else.

In the dining room, we have a large chalk board that displays our regularly changing menu.  Some restaurants will tell you that they serve the freshest food, but our question is, if it was grown or caught in some foreign country, probably in a different hemisphere, pre-sliced & chlorinated, pre-cooked, pre-washed, pre-prepared, ethylne gased, injected with antibiotics and sterioids, frozen 3 times, made of artificial ingredients, genetically modified, and sprayed with leftover chemicals from World War 2, how fresh can it really be?

We strive to buy our ingredients from reputable, sustainable, local sources.  We have a number of farmers around Cincinnati/Dayton that we work with regularly.  We never buy anything that we don' feel is of the highest quality, and that means no large Factory "Farms".  Our seafood is sustainablly farmed or caught in the wild, our chickens ran around a real farm and weren't kept in confinement.  Our beef, pork and lamb were born and raised on a real pasture, on a real farm.  Essentially, our food is raised the way it's suppossed to be, the way it was done when our grandparents were young.

We dont make as much money as your local chicken chain, but we don't care.  Like the farmers we deal with, we charge an honest price, for an honest product, and we're proud of that.  Some of our prices are a bit higher than some other places, but our food is safe, fresh, delicious & nutricious. Most people can taste the difference, and some can't.  Small businesses pay more in taxes, fees, and labor than just about any multinational Corporation, thanks to our politicians.  Ask yourself where you'd like to spend your money, and what value you place on Family Business and good food.   We do what we do, because we believe in America, and are proud to spend a little extra to support our fellow Americans, and our neighbors. This country was founded by farmers, and originally intended to be a farming land.  We want to show our thanks to farmers and pay  homage to what they do.  Ohio is located in a wonderful place where we are surrounded by beautiful farms all around, but why can't you find local food anywhere but on the farm?

We need to demonstrate to these farmers and the companys that have a stranglehold on the food industry, that we are willing to support each other. We want food straight from the farm.  We want our dollars to stay here.  We want food that was raised the way it was meant to be, NATURAL!

No farms, No food
